Meet Siobhan Fay
There are moments in life that change everything.
The end of a marriage. A family in transition. A relationship under strain. A personal loss. A difficult decision. Times when uncertainty makes it hard to see the path forward.
For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during those moments.
My career has taken me through clinical mental health, family mediation, leadership within the New Jersey Judiciary, and private practice. While those roles have been different, the purpose behind them has remained remarkably consistent: helping people navigate life's most challenging transitions with greater clarity, compassion, and confidence.
During my 25 years with the New Jersey Judiciary, I served in progressive leadership roles that focused on behavioral health, conflict resolution, and systems improvement. I helped develop statewide mental health initiatives, led specialized supervision and diversion programs, trained professionals throughout New Jersey, and collaborated with judges, attorneys, behavioral health providers, universities, and community organizations to improve outcomes for individuals and families.
Before that, I spent nearly a decade mediating high-conflict family disputes, helping parents move beyond conflict to create practical, child-centered parenting agreements. It remains some of the most meaningful work of my career because I have always believed that when parents learn to work together more effectively, children benefit for years to come.
Today, through Fay Mediation & Counseling Solutions, LLC, I bring together those decades of experience to support individuals and families facing change. Whether I am providing psychotherapy, family mediation, or divorce coaching, my approach is grounded in the same values that have guided my entire career: respect, collaboration, thoughtful guidance, and genuine compassion.
While I work with individuals across a range of life transitions, my divorce coaching practice is especially focused on mothers who want to navigate divorce with intention, protect their children from unnecessary conflict, and create a healthier future for their families.
Like many of the people I work with, I also know that life's transitions can be deeply personal. Having experienced my own divorce many years ago, I understand both the uncertainty that accompanies profound change and the resilience that can emerge on the other side. That experience deepened my empathy, strengthened my perspective, and reaffirmed my belief that with the right support, difficult chapters can become the beginning of something stronger.
I believe that difficult transitions do not have to define us. With the right support, they can become opportunities for growth, healing, stronger relationships, and new beginnings.
It is a privilege to help people move forward with purpose—and to build a lasting legacy of healthier families, one conversation at a time.
